Ultra Trail na mBan

Ultra trail na mBan is a new dawn for ultra running in Ireland. This all-women’s event takes in some of Wicklow’s most iconic trails. Trail Criú is a not-for-profit organisation, proceeds will be put back into the development of Trail Criú, and a 10% donation will be made to Women’s Aid.
The Routes
Join us on April 17, 2027, for an incredible day out! We have two options to choose from, both starting from the Brockagh Centre:
• The ultra distance route of 56 km, running from Laragh to Hollywood along St. Kevin’s Way and back, with an elevation gain of approximately 1,155 meters. Terrain is a mixture of grass, trail and road.
• The shorter, yet challenging, 24 km route from Laragh to St. Kevin’s Pool and back, with an elevation gain of approximately 560 meters. Terrain is a mixture of grass, trail and road.

No cut-off times

Accommodation near the start line
The starting line is located in Laragh, Co. Wicklow. There are numerous hotels, hostels, campsites, and guesthouses in the local area. Some commuting may be necessary from nearby towns. Please reach out to us if you need any assistance.

Essential Race Kit
The weather in Ireland during April can be quite unpredictable, with rain one minute and sunshine the next. It is not uncommon to see snow in the hills, so it's important to be prepared for any conditions you might encounter while ultra running in Ireland.
Food and hydration for a day in the mountains. There will be an aid station, but it will be necessary to carry snacks also.
